Alright, here it is, the primo hand-crafted, long-time figured-out directions and measurements for your Aeropress. If you are just beginning, welcome to the world of non-acidic coffee. And if you are looking for a new recipe, then buckle up. This is a strong ‘un.

On the side of both cylinders of your Aeropress are some printed numbers. These are very important, but you don’t have to be super precise either. This isn’t baking, it’s coffee. Depending on your grinder, you’re going to have to trial & error this first step. But! if you happen to have a Rancilio grinder, then I suggest turning the bean hopper dial to 25.

  1. Grind your beans. Dark roast variety is nice but whatever your preference. It should be in-between coarse grind for a French Press, and the fineness of espresso ground.
  2. Fill Java cylinder to 2 with your freshly ground goodness
  3. Pour hot water to 3
  4. Stir gently. Making sure all grounds are saturated
  5. Wait 30 seconds
  6. Press
  7. Fill water cylinder to 3
  8. Combine
  9. Drink!
